4.3 Update Leaving Nuvi Speechless

While most Garmin firmware updates are rock solid, we had a small flurry of reports this morning that the recently released 4.3 update has left their GPS nearly speechless. Specifically, the problem seems to be that the GPS will no longer speak the initial turn instruction, and will only speak the very last “turn right now” type instruction. We bring this up for a couple of reasons. First as a potential warning to people considering installing the update. But second, because Garmin’s firmware updates are often so incredibly stable and without incident this just happens to stick out.
