Alltel Fleet Management
Alltel has partnered with Telogis and Navtrack to offer a fleet tracking solution for their business customers. A device installed in each vehicle will receive GPS signals to figure out the vehicle’s current location, direction and speed. That information will then travel over Alltel’s Axcess MobileLink network where the information is processed and made available over the internet.
“Because the business world is so fast-paced and competitive, companies need the ability to track their vehicles in near real-time,” said Wade McGill, senior vice president of wireless product management for Alltel. “By combining the speed of the Alltel Axcess MobileLink network with the expertise of these two fleet management vendors, we can enable customers to locate and monitor their vehicles across a national footprint.”
