AT&T Boosts TeleNav with Email

AT&T and TeleNav have had a long relationship which appears to be paying off with regards to the TeleNav based iPhone app. (You can read our review of AT&T Navigator for iPhone by TeleNav.) When you are the carrier and can send out emails to every subscriber on an iPhone plan and promote the TeleNav based app, that can only mean good things for TeleNav. Check out the promotion we saw in a recent email.

TeleNav and AT&T were also able to circumvent some of the Apple App Store’s typical pricing restrictions by allowing AT&T to directly charge for the app, while downloading the app is free.
