BusinessWeek Reviews StreetPilot c550
BusinessWeek has posted a review of the Garmin StreetPilot c550 and gave it four out of five stars. The reviewer used the unit in Suffolk County, New York driving between Long Island and Manhattan.
The reviewer liked best the integrated traffic information which they had not used in a GPS navigation system before. The StreetPilot c550 announced upcoming traffic and drew the road in yellow to depict medium traffic.
BusinessWeek also made positive notes regarding the intuitive touch screen interface, as well as 3D maps of the road ahead.
What they didn’t like was the price. The reviewer mentioned they expected the price to be less than $500 but received a little sticker shock when they found the retail price over $850. (I’ve seen them around $675 range from retailers). Overall, however it was yet another positive review for the Garmin c550
