This week most of the active threads surrounded the topic of a previous post, 4.3 Update Leaving Nuvi Speechless. There were numerous threads, but the update 4.3 messed my gps up thread became the most popular. We’re glad to report that Garmin had a very impressive turn around time for a fix, and the issue appears resolved.
Obtaining and installing MapSource to use with compatible devices that it didn’t ship with can be difficult. However the process is outlined well in this thread: Best Mapping Software, as well as a few “gotcha” type tips.
Every now and then people want to know how to display a city name on their GPS. I personally find it of little value, but the topic is debated.
TomTom owners try to predict the ETA on next map update?.
A Nuvi owner is really unhappy with a route the GPS picked, unfortunately you won’t always agree on the route.
