Garmin Announcement Tomorrow?

Earlier today on the Yahoo Finance page for Garmin was the following:

Garmin Garmin Announcement
Scheduled to start Wed, Feb 4, 2009, 11:00 am Eastern

No other information was provided, and not the double “Garmin” in the title. Subsequently, the page has been pulled. Credit to Rich for the find.

That doesn’t mean we might not still see some sort of announcement tomorrow, perhaps it won’t be a live conference that we typically see on those types of pages. Instead we might see a regular press release.

With the Nuvifone still lingering out there slated for the end of Q2, it is possible we might see something like carrier announcements and prices. Or someone else suggested perhaps they will announce they are canceling the project. (But I wouldn’t expect that.)

Another possibility is that there could be an announcement in the handheld or marine markets. The Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show starts tomorrow as well as the Atlantic City International Power Boat Show, both of which Garmin appears to be attending.
