As noted earlier today in our Garmin Nuvi forums Garmin is now offering a larger selection of maps available for download instead of just purchasing in SD card or DVD. Maps include those previously available, as well as new types of maps such as the cityXplorer maps.
The cityXplorer maps are designed for those exploring unfamiliar cities and provide directions via public transportation options such as by train, bus, or subway routes. Pick a destination and they will create a route using your own feet and any public transportation options available.
You can view the maps available for your Garmin at this link, then purchase and download. The maps start at $9.99.
I like to know were to get an updated Republic of panama map for GArmin 780.
thanks
Be warned that not all cityXplorer maps include bus routes, making them of limited value. This is true of Los Angeles, and, I have read, of Rome.
The Middle East Map does cover the Saudi Arabia Area. I have to travel by road from Qatar Doha. I have Garmin Nuvi 1200.
Thanks
