As stated in my earlier post Garmin needs to partner with an excellent sound system (Bose) etc. Sound is necessary for truckers as big rigs are noisy we need a professional sound system. If the trucker model(s) will listen to the professional truckers and their needs I'm sure Garmin will be able to come up with a system that will beat the competition hands down. Lets not forget those legally alternate route alerts remember legally and not something that is going to put the trucker in the middle of a dead end street to nowhere.

So far (about a month) everything is great except the FM transmitter is too weak for this market (Chicago) and my car configuration(the antenna is on the roof at the rear). Virtually every channel is in use in the Chicago area. The signal is too weak to even be picked up in the educational band (under about 91 MHz). Most places there is a constant multipath on every channel I've tried.

You can set it up to avoid things like parkways however it doesn't take into account things like bridge heights.

Interested in information on StreetPilot 7200GPS, as advertized in Highway Magazine. Also, would like to know of any dealers in Western Canada>
