GLONASS Satellites Launched

In addition to the satellites put into orbit recently in support of the Galileo project, Russia has also recently launched three satellites in support of their GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) project.
Russia hopes to have 24 satellites operational in the GLONASS GPS project by 2010.
