I’ve been using GiSTEQ Tripbook for my personal mileage logging. It comes with a USB logging stick and a mileage management software. I could export everything into excel for my report. Works like a charm!

Hey,

I am using this tool on http://www.quino.ca as my mileage tool. The software behind it is key to it being useful. Different filters can be set and the data can be exported into Excel with a personalized company header!

TeleNav recently released a Software Update for the TeleNav Shotgun that does basically the feature you describe.

I would use this if it was tied in to my system some way to where when I started my car a voice would ask me is this a business trip or personal trip. I could then push the appropriate button or better yet speek either business/personal. For me remembering to turn yet another device on…that is not going to happen I might as well resort to the old log book my CPA has been trying to get me to use for years. I too think your price is a bit out of line for what you get. I think either Garmin or Tom Tom will come out with a product that I mentioned

Like Stu, I’m primarily interested in GPS log tracking. As a CPA, this feature makes a GPS a useful, tax-deductible tool for someone (my Clients) who drives around their hometown, epecially the same routes, over & over, i.e. someone who isn’t going to get lost but could REALLY use a log of their trips.

To me, this feature would make a GPS a MUST Buy for many people.

How can I find reviews of this feature in GPS units? Or where can I find reviews of track log recorders (and what are they and how are they different from the GPS unit themselves?)

GPS log tracking is a primary feature that I am interested in. The Navigon 7100 doesn’t seem to be of interest to me though, what other GPS devices have this feature, and/or where can I find a track log recorder?
