GPS Price Fluctuations

An article in the Post-Gazette says “prices drop sharply on (GPS) devices”. While prices may have dropped in the past twelve to eighteen months, a more recent trend has been for slightly increasing prices.
I’ve been monitoring the prices at Amazon and a few of the other major retailers and have found in the past two or three weeks some prices actually rising. Perhaps it is a sign of GPS systems being more popular this holiday season than expected and supply is down. Or perhaps retailers are just getting greedy during the holiday season.
