HP iPAQ hw6900 GPS

HP introduced the new HP iPAQ hw6900 with GPS navigation functionality today. The HP iPAQ hw6900 is based on Windows Mobile 5.0 and provides radios for GSM/GPRS/Edge, wifi, bluetooth, and GPS for navigation.

In North America the HP iPAQ hw6900, Microsoft Pocket Streets is included to provide GPS navigation and HP iPAQ Navigation Software and Maps is included on a CD as a free trial. The GPS navigation software provides turn by turn directions and voice prompts.

In Europe, the HP iPAQ hw6900 comes with TomTom Navigator 5 software. Customers can download one TomTom City map for free, additional maps are an optional accessory.

Expect to be able to get your hands on this device in the Spring for European customers and in the summer for North American customers.

  1. Great tool, I have it for over 6 months now and I’m looking forward to see the 3G/UMTS version that HP will launch this year.
