KDDI EZ Passenger Seat Navi via CDMA 1X cellphones

KDDI has announced the availability of a new service called EZ Passenger Seat Navi which provides limited GPS features on CDMA 1x cell phones. The software is based on their exsiting EZ Navi Walker GPS software for pedestrians.

What is most striking about the service is the price, in USD it is about $1.50 for one day or $2.99 per month. Sure you don’t get all the bells and whistles of a full fledged GPS navigation system, however the price is right.
