(Considering the LN790? Check out our review of the sibling LN735 which offers many of the same attributes.)
LG is getting into the GPS market in the USA and the LG LN730 is their first entry level GPS device. This device is expected to cost around $350 when available this Spring although exact pricing is not yet known. The LN730 will come with many features commonly found in more advanced GPS devices such as an MP3 music player, photo viewer, as well as the popular SiRFstarIII chipset to provide quick and accurate GPS reception.
A 3.5 inch screen display shows your way on the LN730. It does not have text-to-speech, however. That is found on the more advanced LG GPS models. Another weakness is that it comes with only 1.7 million POIs. So if you expect to need to navigate to POIs frequently rather than predetermined addresses, you might want to look for a GPS with more POIs installed. Battery life is expected to be about 4 hours.
