Lowrance-Iway-350CLowrance introduced the iWAY 350c at their booth #10208 in the Mobile Electronics & Technology section of the SEMA Show 2005.

Featuring built-in battery power, stereo MP3 music player, wireless full spectrum F Mmodulator, and picture viewer, the iWAY 350c packs a lot of precise, easy-to-use turn-by-turn navigation with multimedia extras, and cordless go-anywhere portability, into a compact case at an ultra-compact retail price of $499.00

U.S.With dual internal lithium ion rechargeable batteries, and built-in battery charger, the new iWAY350c offers up to 15 hours of cordless navigation, music and picture viewing for convenient portability. An included 12 vDC accessory cable also powers the unit for navigation/MP3/pictureviewer functions, as well as battery recharging.

Also a full-featured stereo MP3 player, the iWAY 350c incorporates a digital media card slot so that motorists can plug and play their favorite audio files loaded on an MMC or SD memory card. While equipped with its own integrated speaker, the new iWAY 350c features a built-in, full spectrum FM modulator to wirelessly stream music and navigation voice directions through any open FM radioc hannel. Likewise, thanks to the media card slot, owners can view their travel photos by simply inserting an MMC or SD card with JPEG photo files for larger-format, big color viewing enjoyment.

Touting a bright, sunlight-viewable 3.5″ diagonal, 16-bit color TFT touch-screen display with 320Hx240V pixel resolution, the iWAY 350c delivers full 16-channel GPS+WAAS location precision via its built-in antenna. Simplified touch-screen menus put easy operation at the traveler’s fingertips. Plus, the integrated 4GB hard drive is preloaded with excellent NAVTEQ turn-by-turn map data detail for the continental U.S. and Canada, so there’s no need for owners to buy maps, or pay fees or unlock codes. Also included are over 5 million points of interest to easily find and navigate to fuel, lodging, dining, entertainment, and many more services.

Nicely compact and totally portable for multi-vehicle use, including car rental, the iWAY 350c shows motorists the way to any destination across town, or across the country. Once the destination is selected, it automatically displays the best route in a colorful pathway, while providing turn-by-turn directions with visual and voice guidance. To suit personal preferences, the iWAY350c offers a choice in navigation views, from a “north up” or “track up” 2-D presentation, to an elevated 3-D display. In the case of a missed turn, or an unexpected highway detour, the iWAY 350c automatically replots the route to quickly get the motorist back on track.

Offering added value for its $499 USA retail price, the iWAY 350c comes complete with a full complement of accessories that include suction-cup mounting bracket, 12 vDC power adapter, USB to PC interface cable, soft protective cover and micro-fiber touch-screen cleaning cloth.

  3. the main differences I know of if your just comparing the lowrance 350 and the 500
    1. 500 has bigger screen but 350 is big enough for car view 500 may be too big depending on where you want to mount it.
    2. I have also heard that because the 500 is so big and heavy their are probs with strong enough mount.
    2. the 350 has an internal speaker and regular cigarette plug instead of that giant speaker contraption that the 500 uses.
3.probably the biggest feature I think for the 350 is internal Batteries (so when you get it you can sit aroud the house and play with it for ours without being in the car.)

personaly though I am trying to return my 350 and get a garmin too many glitches and search problems. you can see my full oppinoin here http://www.gpsreview.net/lowrance-iway-350c-reader-report/
