Magellan offers Free Map Card for Roadmate 300 Owners

In a perfect world, the Magellan RoadMate 300 portable vehicle navigation system would come with free, preloaded map cards for turn-by-turn, voice- and text-guided street routing right out of the box. Now, for a limited time, customers will get that added Turn It On and Go convenience at no extra charge.

Customers who purchase a Magellan RoadMate 300 and register it through September 30, 2005 at www.magellangps.com will receive a free 256 MB Secure Digital memory card containing detailed street maps of their region (a U.S. $50 value). The easy-to-use, color, touch-screen routing device ships with preloaded maps of highways for the entire continental U.S. as well as CD Roms for downloading detailed street-level maps. With the free SD card containing preloaded maps for several states, drivers gain the advantage of door-to-door routing without PC downloads.

“We are continually striving to provide outstanding, simple-to-use auto navigation solutions at outstanding prices,” said Jennifer Herve du Penhoat, director of product marketing for Thales’ consumer business unit. “We’re pleased to be able to provide this added convenience for customers who don’ t want to compromise convenience for cost.”

The free SD card offer can be redeemed until September 30, 2005 with completion of online product registration at www.magellangps.com/sdcardpromotion. Customers will receive one of the following nine map regions, which can also be purchased online at $50 each:

  1. I purchased a Magellan 2200T and the maps were out dated and now, in order to get the up date, I’ll have to shell out another 75 bucks.
