Motorola and Avis Team to Enhance GPS Services

Motorola and Avis Rent A Car have teamed up to offer better GPS navigation systems in Avis rental cars. The service is powered by Motorola’s Viamoto location and POI software. They are also offering real-time traffic updates from traffic.com’s traffic servive. The information is fed by aircraft, roadside sensors, as well as other government sources. You can get the service from Avis in your rental car for $9.95 per day.

You can also get the Vimoto software on your cellphone for about $10 per month.
