Navigate to Lat/Long Coordinates TomTom Go

Jan

2006

Someone over on the groundspeak forums asked if you can navigate to a set of corrdinates (latitude and longitude) from a TomTom Go. Out of the box this isn’t possible, however someone has created an external application/plugin that appears like it will do the trick. I have not tested this myself so you are at your own risk installing this. You can find the application here about half way down the page.

  1. Maybe this change recently but just a half hour ago I routed to a set of coordinates with the TomTom GO 930. What I could not do however, is save it as a favorite or POI.

  2. I have not been able to store as a favourite an arbitrary position, like a car park some distance from the defined TomTom road map. Has anyone found a way to do this?

  3. Steve - Yes, this article is 2.5 years old. Quite a bit has changed since then. :)

Ronald - Store it as a custom POI as opposed to a favorite.
