NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge
NAVTEQ has announced the annual NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge. This global program challenges application developers around the world to build innovative location-based services (LBS) that work with mobile phones or wireless handheld devices using dynamic positioning technology and NAVTEQ maps.
“In response to the success of several past years’ winning applications and the industry’s energy around providing location awareness, NAVTEQ expanded the LBS Challenge beyond North America to include developers around the world. Last year, over 180 developers registered for the challenge in North America alone. We expect to have an even stronger pool of submitted applications in this year’s challenge because of the collaboration with our sponsor companies and the excitement this program has created,” commented Winston Guillory, Senior Vice President of North America Sales, NAVTEQ.
