NAVTEQ has announced that it will work with PSMA Australia Limited to create the first digial maps of Australia. Existing PSMA Australia data will be integrated with data collected by NAVTEQ field teams to create a new series of digital map data.

“We were looking for an Australian partner that could provide a broad, high quality foundation to which we could add our proprietary Detailed Coverage navigable map data, and PSMA Australia offered the best data,” commented John MacLeod, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Strategy, NAVTEQ.

PSMA Australia’s Director of Operations and Chief Executive Officer, Dan Paull said, “Our relationship with NAVTEQ is an important one. We are pleased to be working with the global leader in digital mapping and we support NAVTEQ’s efforts to drive growth and development in Australia’s navigation industry.”
