Several retailers are now reporting they have started to receive shipments of the Garmin Nuvi 660 and a couple of customers have reported receiving shipping notifications from some retailers. This is good news as it looked for a little while like it might be delayed when Garmin changed their website to say delivery was expected during October.
And possibly as a result of the 660 now shipping, prices have started to drop on the Garmin StreetPilot c550. I’ve seen some prices at around $599 from some retailers, nearly $300 off the retail price.

FYI..
In June 10, 2006, I bought the Nuvi 360 from Fry’s Electronics and I loved it…. Except for the price 899.00 + tax. It is extremely accurate. I returned it after 3 weeks and bought the TomTomOne for 499.00 + tax, hoping I it is as good as the Nuvi 360. the price is better though. I tested the TT-one for 3 days but ended up returning it. GPS receiver is not as sensitive as Nuvi 360. Addresses I have put in was always 300 feet off. The only thing I realy like about TomTomOne is it’s detour features. Now, I pre-ordered the Nuvi 660 from GPScity for only 769.00 and no tax, I’m Sure this one will be my best buddy on any trip…
