Slipstream Becomes Team Garmin
Or perhaps more precisely, the bicycle team formerly known as Slipstream-Chipolte will now be known as “Team Garmin-Chipolte presented by H30″. The move is expected to give Garmin a ton of exposure for their Edge 705 cycling GPS as well as the Nuvi 770 for auto navigation. (I certainly agree!) The announcement was made yesterday, and we took the opportunity to run an experiment, “tweeting” the press conference on our Twitter account. I think the Twitter experiment worked well, and we will make some tweaks to our Tweets for our next live event.
I’m a big cycling fan and have already noticed an increase amount of Garmin appearances this Spring during many of the classics– showing up on banners at start-houses as well as banners above the clock, etc.
