TeleNav GPS Navigator for BlackBerry

TeleNav has announced that the TeleNav GPS Navigator (Java GPS navigation software) is now available on the BlackBerry 7100i. The TeleNav GPS Navigator software is already available on the BlackBerry 7520. One thing unique about the TeleNav GPS Navigator software is the maps are automatically updated.

“The BlackBerry 7100i is a great tool for consumers and business travelers alike,” said HP Jin, president and CEO at TeleNav. “With the addition of the TeleNav Navigator service, users no longer need to print out online directions or look at traditional maps when traveling to unknown locations. The information is provided right at their fingertips.”

Other unique features are the voice response system which allows destinations to be entered by voice and the Business Finder can do things like finding the lowest gas price within a certain radius. The TeleNav software costs $9.99 per month and there are initial 30 day free trials available.

  1. I have a Blackberry 8700 and my service provider is in Hong Kong. Can I subcribe to the TeleNav GPS Navigator for Blackberry directly or must I do this through Hong Kong?

  3. I just purchased a year worth of Mapquest Navigator for my new Blackberry 8820. When I try to use it, it tells e to turn on the GPS.
When I check the GPS on the phone, it finds the satellites and my Eartly coordinates.
Why won’t it be recognized by Mapquest Navigator?
    What should I do?
