Radio Shack has sold out and expects no new units in, but I could order on an indiv. basis. In line with the rules, will not mention their price but they had no knowledge of a factory rebate which is mentioned for most if not all vendors on this GPS site.

WalMart had one returned unit and a new one in stock. Told me that they had several returns and thus advised against a purchase of this model. Price was almost identical with RS and they too had no knowledge of a factory rebate.

As for the mounting hardware heat-fusing with the windshield, due to the climate in my Pacific NW region, that doesn’t seem to be an issue.

The device impressed me and it takes more to sway me from a model with a screen larger than the average of 3.5″. Will check with someone at TomTom (don’t know yet how…) as to their rebate policy since it could be something offered by a wholesale jobber to get a foot in the door.

Am off to Radio Shack (on Jan.4, 07!) to test their knowledge about:

1) Better mounting hardware.

2) If the lastest map software has been included or if a coupon is issued since the earlier sold 910’s contained very old maps.
