TomTom XL 325-S
Two new XL products are now appearing on the TomTom site. The XL 325 and XL 325-S look like they will become available soon. In contrast to the XXL models, these come with a 4.3″ widescreen display and are very similar to the XL 340 and XL 340-S.
The “s” model includes Text To Speech. The differences between the 325 and 340 models are subtle. The 340 models come with maps of the USA and Canada while the 325 includes only maps of the USA. It also appears that the 325 might not come with IQ Routes. If that is indeed the case– our recommendation is to skip the 325 and go for the 340. IQ Routes is worth the price. Aside from that the 325 models look to bring similar features to the 340 with an EasyPort mount, MapShare, Help Me functions, etc. I suspect it may also come with fewer POIs, but those details as well as pricing and availability are still unknown. (Though we expect them to be available very soon.)
