Trimble last month unveiled a new GPS receiver chipset designed for small personal electonics such as bluetooth devices, cameras, and phones called the Trimble Copernicus. The Copernicus is a 12 channel receiver in a 19mm x 19mm module.
Trimble is known for their GPS receivers used in major surveying equipment. This new GPS chipset could signal a push to offer their chipsets in more consumer electonic devices.
